Where You Become Whole Again.

Emer Rea, MFR/Reiki
Ba.Kin; Ba.ED; CPTN; RYT-200; Reiki Master; Myofascial Release Professional

Emer is a Myofascial Release practitioner and Reiki master, who uses her background in Kinesiology, Education, Neuromuscular therapy, Personal Training, Yoga Therapy and personal experiences on her own healing journey, to help find the right treatment plan for her clients. Emer started her education with a degree in Kinesiology from The University of Western Ontario. She then continued her studies with holistic Kinesiology in Ireland, obtained her Bachelor of Education at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, multiple seminars and trainings in John Barnes Myofascial Release in the USA, Anatomy trains, Myofascial Yoga and Neuromuscular Therapy in Ireland. Emer has also worked as a personal trainer, movement re-educator and most recently is completing her studies in a Cancer Exercise Specialist program. Emer is also on track to begin Osteopathy school this fall.

Emer is very passionate about helping others with chronic pain and movement dysfunction and loves to find the right fit for each person that ends up on her table! Having gone through her own healing journey with Lymes disease and later Cancer, Emer has learned an awful lot about the practicalities and application of various techniques, that can truly help alleviate some of the symptoms, emotions and movement dysfunctions that can follow an illness.  Discovering Myofascial Release(MFR), was a catalyst for Emer finding relief from chronic pain and restoring optimal health and function to her own body. As such, Emer is quite passionate about the Fascial system and can often be found reading and devouring the latest articles and research on fascia.

Outside of working on people, Emer also loves to treat dogs and cats! Focusing on friends and family’s pets, that are willing, Emer is enjoying learning and seeing how MFR and reiki, help animals find their own balance. Emer is an avid animal lover, from small little cats to horses, Emer loves to have a furry friend with her on a walk or just sharing company while reading a book. Emer also adores her nieces and nephews and is often roped into babysitting and other adventures that involve getting covered in peanut butter or singing goofy songs to the amusement of her little ones!

Emer loves to travel and has had the opportunity to live in various parts of the world: Ireland, Czech, USA and the Caribbean to name a few. Emer is an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction, loves meditation, yoga and being out in nature. Emer believes nature is truly the cheapest form of medicine we can gift ourselves and tries to get outside at least once a day!

Emer is excited to be working with other great practitioners, in Naturopathic Medicine,  Massage and Osteopathy and looks forward to sharing how MFR and Reiki can be a lovely, non-invasive addition to your current treatment protocols. Emer is excited to help you find your balance in functional movement, wellbeing and regaining or restoring joy in life!
